I recently spent two weeks on respite at Hydon Hill care home in Godalming, I must say that it compared favourably with other care homes in which I have spent some time on the previous response. The care staff were extremely good, the physiotherapy offered was a first-class quality. The activities provided were varied and encouraged could social interaction along with mental stimulation, with staff on hand to provide assistance for those with less mobility. I found the excursions offered were challenging with sufficient staff to provide the extra help required by individuals. It would have been nice to have been offered a hot bedtime drink even though water was available at all times. The catering staff were excellent and happy to oblige with any dietary requirements. It would be useful, in my opinion, if there were a suggestion book in which residents could comment anonymously on daily activities with both positive and negative feedbacks. Kim Bartlett
