VetSkill is authorised by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) as a regulatory body to maintain a register for Suitably Qualified Persons (SQPs) to prescribe and supply veterinary medicines classified as POM-VPS and NFA-VPS. Our aim is to, not only ensure that those prescribing and/or supplying POM-VPS and NFA-VPS veterinary medicines do so in a safe and legal manner, but that the process of registration and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for SQPs is simple to follow and cost effective. VetSkill is also authorised by DEFRA to maintain a register of persons qualified to implant identification microchips into companion animals. Our growing portfolio of qualifications are available for delivery by VetSkill Approved Centres. Our close links with employers, professional associations and regulatory bodies ensure that we are able to review and revise our qualifications to keep pace with the dynamic needs of employers, learners and industry.
