Amazing would be the best word to describe our stay here. Amazing location with beautiful views, stunning wood work, the most comfortable california king bed I've experienced. Very well kept, clean and tidy. Doris can cook up a mean breakfast and is a treat to meet and talk with. If you don't want to stay on the main drag while passing through Golden this is most definitely a place to check out. See you again!

Very nice Lodge with a delightful B&B feel having the owners personal touch. The "home cooking" is fantastic!
If you are debating the lodge or the cabin, book the lodge. The food is so good you'll regret any of the cooking you do! Doris and Norbert were friendly and helpful. Brought back memories of being a kid and going to grandparents house for cooking and company! :)
The cabins are rustic but charming and comfortable. The best part about our 2 night stay was the owners. Very warm & hospitable. Doris made the most authentic schnitzel for our supper. Best meal we’ve had in a long time. We would definitely stay again.
What a beautiful hidden gem, just a short ride from golden & easy to find! If you call direct you'll find the rates are better.. Owned by a delightful German couple who provide proper hospitality, AMAZING food & the comfiest bed I've ever had away from home. There's accomodation in the main lodge, or cabins if you prefer. Expect to take your shoes off & treat the place like home (apart from the kitchen where Doris works her magic).. Watch the hummingbirds & listen to the creek.. Stay at Glenogle if you're passing through Golden!!
Doris and Norbert are so welcoming and the room and breakfast was very nice! No tv but that wasn’t a problem. The scenery was amazing and the whole hotel was very peaceful. Definitely going to visit this place every time I’m near Golden.
The cabins are really charming and the family that owns this place are really nice. Very clean place, we had a great stay.
I've been meaning to write this review for a few years and I just never got around to it. I recently found an old business card I picked up walking out the door of the lodge and it brought back a wave of good memories. My friends and I where inexplicably looking for an authentic German Schnitzel, being German myself I guess i must've talked them up the Idea. There where a few spots that offered German cuisine on the way up from Fernie but as it happens they where all closed. Disappointed but not ready to give up we haphazardly looked up German restaurants in golden and found the Glenogle Mountain Lodge on google maps. We figured what the hell lets check it out. Having driven up a winding mountain road we found to our disappointment that the lodge was closed. However Doris saw us standing outside and asked what we where doing, I explained to her that we had this irrational craving to for a good schnitzel. Without a second thought she invited us in and treated us to the best damn German food I've ever had. There where three of use and we had the lodge to ourselves. Ill never forget that. So if you're in golden do yourself a favor, and spend a few days there.
