Nice trail to the top. Great views of Golden Colorado and the Coors Brewery. Look close at the hill side, there 5 whitetails in it

Windy Saddle Park is a trailhead halfway up Lookout Mountain, in Golden. As of this week, (Christmastime 2020), the trail is mostly covered with densely packed snow. Wear boots; my Puma trainers were no match for the ice. Shortly in, the trail splits into two: the left heads towards Lookout, a lovely hike I'm sure; the right fork has warning signs. Danger danger, not for the faint of heart. 10 miles in, one way, you're hiking along cliffs the whole way. Bring food, water, and a flare gun. Not to be taken lightly. Oh boy, and they were not exaggerating. If you love an intense hike, a short drive from Denver, this is the place. You're hiking over scree, it's a landslide frozen in time; there are boulders that you almost certainly have to climb in order to pass. The view is beautiful, and the hike is rigorous. Do recommend

Really beautiful trail, make sure you bring water and wear appropriate footwear! The trails are narrow and steep, be prepared. Masks are currently required during COVID, so prepare for that as well and make sure if you're within 6ft of another person you have your mask on!

Gorgeous overlook, parking spot but was full had to drive around a couple of times. There is restrooms onsite also. Lots of people walking on trails and walking up the mountain side.
