I attended this college for two years between September 2011 and July 2013. I am still in contact with multiple teachers here and regard it to be a great college with a pleasant learning environment. St Vincent has previously struggled due to underfunding however makes up for it with a great faculty who do often go the extra mile to assist pupils. As within any educational environment there will be difficult pupils and teachers that are of a lower standard than the average. St Vincent does it's best to effectively deal with this however does often have a slightly higher percentile of unruly pupils or those unwilling to learn. This is because they are more accepting of a diverse range of learning abilities rather than selecting the best. To facilitate that acceptance they often focus many resources on the best ways to engage students and keep them interested in their learning. They are also able to identify more able pupils and often give them additional opportunities to be challenged that they many not always receive in class. They provide a large library and quiet study area for personal study or reading which can assist in this. It was a pleasure attending here and I got better grades than predicted due to the hard work of the lecturers in encouraging me to perform better. I would happily recommend it to anyone in the area.

Who ever allowed Atkinson to run the place needs their head read. Good teachers, but he and other members of the management have no clue what they are doing. Shame, used to be good.

I participated in the level 3 sport BTEC here and it was fantastic. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond what is expected of them and ensured every student was made to feel like a person not a paycheck. I finished here with the highest grade possible and I am now studying at the university of Exeter No1 for sport science in the country.

Im very saddened to write this review but sadly had a horrible encounter a few months ago and it was most unpleasant as i have autism and anxiety i was arriving to st vincent and i did not know the way to a area of the college i saw a lady with a badge around her neck and assumed she could maybe help me as at this time most of the students have gone inside as i approached her i said \Excuse me im sorry to bother you could you tell me where this room is please im new and im a bit lost and worried\ And i do have speech difficulties and stutter a lot. I was stuttering and it took a while for the words to come out, when i finally said it the lady started sniggering at me and said \you finally got your words out then? Its over there\ and didnt even point where to go..i managed to say yes thank you with tears in my eyes. It was very embarrassing and upsetting. I managed to see the lady's name, i would just like to advice Chay Kosofsky that sniggering and laughing at people with speech difficulties do hurt our feelings and we do not deserve to be treated differently. Thanks
