Great hike up to Cascade falls. Lots of varied terrain and habitat. The falls are beatiful and a great place for a break. Highly recommended.

Great hike, prep: water, sun screen, bug spray, snack. Scenery 10/10. Was lucky to see moose, squirrels, marmots, fox, geckos, birds... But waterfall was epic.

This trail was amazing!!! We got so close to two bull moose and a female moose as well as cute birds and little snake! The trail is so open and beautiful and the falls are so worth it. Definitely don't take dogs cuz the moose will trample them but it's great for kids and strollers

Cascade Falls is one of my favorite hikes up the North Inlet Trail... this is the hiking path you would take, if you wanted to hike from Grand Lake to Estes Park... the parking area is small including the overflow, so sometimes you must park down on Portal Road. The 1st mile or so follows an old park road and is easy to Summerland Meadow... there is a private cabin that lies at the east of the meadow, then the trail begins to get a little more into the wilderness .. and just gets better as you get nearer Cascade Falls...
