Informative scenic trail that provides the history behind the building of the first steam paddle steamer in the world and the development of Grangemouth as a port. Starts just underneath the motorway bridge and leads along the new canal into the old town of Grangemouth. Scenic views of the Ochil Hills across the Forth and views of the Kelpies without the crowds. Best to start from the starting point in the Helix park and retrace your steps back once you reach the final information point near the canal lock that leads into the River Forth.
