Granite City made a big difference in my move to Vermont. This community is tightly knit and pushes people of all ages and kinds to succeed. Sexism is rampant in all kinds of combat sports that I've participated in and can make it really hard to be taken seriously, but Lucas creates an environment that breeds collaboration and respect. He teaches a unique, effective and adaptive style that I've been able to appreciate especially after branching out to new gyms in the SF Bay Area and more strictly traditional teaching. I'm grateful for the time I had at Granite City and recommend it to anyone staying in the Montpelier area or to anyone just passing through.

Granite City MMA is a great place to learn martial arts. Lucas is very knowledgeable and is a gifted teacher. I'm a middle age guy who'll never be a MMA fighter but I am treated as an equal by everyone there including all the guys half my age. The more experienced students are always sharing their knowledge which makes learning easier. They really are welcoming to all types and skill levels. It's a great place to learn some self-defense and get some exercise plus they make it fun.

Fantastic martial arts studio! The instructor is very knowledgeable and I have learned some valuable self defense skills while getting a great workout! I love the diversity of classes offered. The gym is also very clean! I can’t wait until by daughter is old enough to take classes at this gym!

A amazing place to start beginning Muay Thai and MMA Etc. A fun hard working environment with tons of kind people to share the experience with and grow closer to, and a dedicated Teacher to go along with it. It's a very good workout physically and mentally and really pushes you to your limit but at a pace which urges you forward to reach your personal goal set. Definitely recommended.

Granite City MMA is an incredible facility. Granite City MMA offers a judgement free , super clean and welcoming, wide variety of knowledgeable arts. There is a spot here for everyone regardless of age, gender or skill. You can be pushed physically and mentally to reach that next level you’re looking for to better your self. Everyone is a human here and has a sense of humor! Very welcoming to kids of all ages. The kids classes are top notch! Do your self a favor, stop waiting, if you’re in the area check the facility out. First class of each art is always so free. Prepare to sweat, work hard and have a good laugh! I’ve been to other gyms over my time with training in martial arts, and have never felt so welcomed or included.
