This was our first visit and was recommended to us . We shall definitely be returning as the food was exceptional . The service was excellent and it didn't just feel like a meal out , it felt special. We had the 8 course set menu and every course was beautifully presented with a real attention to detail including the ingredients used and flavours . The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and at the end of the evening the chef came into the dining area to introduce himself and check that everyone enjoyed the food which we thought was a nice and very professional touch .

A great place to stop. Very clean place, nice staff, efficient service and tasty food. If you want a bacon sandwich and a tea halfway up or down the A1(m) then this is perfect. The didn't have any eggs on the menu else I would have given 5 stars. We will return.
Always delicious. Can get busy but we'll worth it. Quick and lovely service.

A wonderful lunch. Lovely staff and my sandwich was very tasty. Would recommend anyone not tried Dougies to give it a go. You won't be disappointed.
