This was formally the site of the mighty heavy earthmoving company Aveling & Barford Ltd. It is sad and devastating to see this once magnificent manufacturing site fall into disarray! The boilershop and paintshop have been demolished and little remains of this great manufacturer that isn't derelict. It was once without doubt the jewel in the crown of Grantham and in its hay day employed 2,400 people of which l was one, working with a great team of people. Thank goodness Fruehauf are carrying on the Mantle!!.

Staff very professional.... If your going for the first time don't hesitate in going up the street of the address it is up there at the top but it can be tight because of double parked cars
