Signed in at 2050. Patiently waited to be seated, whilst seen and ignored by 2 staff. How rude. Stood holding the food menu, asked if I had signed in (yes), how was I paying (by App) and can you sanitise your hands (done that). You can sit anywhere Sir (about as polite as it got). At 2105 the App decided to tell me the Brie Burger and the Simple Steak were not available! Staff then told me there was no food orders after 9pm? The Manager explained the kitchen was closed at 9pm. No notices in the Pub or on the App. The Manager said, ‘The Pub is not making any money and it’s difficult to judge what food is needed and what to order.’ My comments about being ignored and being less informed about service was all due to the current environment. How condescending. When I asked for a paper copy of the complaints procedure, I was told none were available because of the Virus. Please........ Multiple paper copies of the menu were available. And still available after 9pm. This is the second time in 3 weeks no Steaks were available on ‘Steak Night.’ If you are going to offer a service to people, try and do it properly. Don’t treat people with contempt and certainly don’t be as rude as to ignore people following all your guidelines. Maybe, I’ll try again tomorrow to see if there is any change. I hope there is. My previous experience here has been better.

Nice little place. Decor is a bit dated but the staff are lovely, food is nice and hot. Doing all the right checks for covid and social distancing and mask wearing. Worth a visit if in Grantham.

Busy and vibrant as per usual for a Saturday night. Ordered by the app and all received correct and quickly. Food was served in a record time of 8 minutes. Staff were very busy and constantly on the go clearing tables and delivering orders

Don't have really a good thing to say. It's a totally British place. Went there at lunchtime You stand waiting at the busy bar to order and then they make mistakes at the till ,then you have to look for the condiments to take to your table which is not prepared. Toilets are upstairs so no good for wheelchair people. Would not recommend for kids too many people drinking Otherwise very nice location, lovely layout inside and outside and prices are normal. Food was average. I was not impressed.
