Was tempted by a posta above the counter in James Martin Kitchen, Debenhams, Lakeside, advertising James' handmade banana loaf. The photo looked lovely, with frosted icing, but when it was put on my plate, it didn't have any icing. They offered to put some on the side of the plate! Almost laughed out loud!

Disgusting. Baked potato with a foul vinegar taste dry tuna dressing. Not even mayo to add to help. We complained and a charming, helpful waitress offered a refund or something else. The jacket I ordered with cheese had a sliver of melted. No garnish, just horrible. Manager was "too busy" to talk to my companion. So we finished off drinks and left. Were informed that James Martin gives instructions on quantities , ingredients etc. So won't be returning.....or to any other James Martin establishment, if they exist. Ugh!

Mum and I stopped and I asked for 2 decaf teas with cups not mugs.the 3 girls didn't have a clue.our waitress delivered the 2 cups of tea no pots and tea bags were stewed in the cups she spilit the tea all in the saucers which was bad.we had to pay another 40p for pots of tea it was very poor service will not be returning to this coffee shop.

They are awful here. Forget half your order, or it comes up cold or missing bits. Overpriced and bad service. Avoid, there are plenty of nice places in Lakeside.

Nice place for a cup of tea.toasted sandwiches are very good .not over price.clean and tidy

I went there this morning and grab ta coffee. As I was after a meeting I needed to make a phone call while ordering... the lady Djudith was very root serving on till and skared me even the way she looked and talk to me I found this very unprofessional and would say this lady must not be first point of customer service! Very disappointed!!!!
