We usually go there when there's a group of us. The staff are amazing, lovely young ladies, they work hard and have very customer friendly attitudes. The food is good, generous potions, with a nice interesting menu, prices are good too. Very family friendly as well.

Lovely pub, always a good atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and the food is great!
Amid all the "where can we go" debate, the ship offers a very good example of where to go, the food is still decent fair prices and hot, although a limited menu is available, the choices do not fail.. As all newly opened places, the Ship is finding it's feet and although you may experience a little wait, at least all the bar staff wear smiles and deserve a big thank you.
Food wasn't good. Service was ok by waitress but she was on her own and rushed off her feet and serving behind bar while the other female bar person was standing there folding napkins around cutlery. She was also extremely rude and defensive. When asked how much longer a prawn sandwich and flatbread and chips was going to take, after waiting over half hour, I was told another 10 mins to which I replied that was ridiculous. She snapped at me and said it's a new menu and they were busy. Yes there were a few in there but that should be expected on a Friday lunch time? Then the food came out, the handful of chips for an extra 1 we were given were ridiculously small (see photos). When we complained again staff were rude. I would not recommend or return again unless I heard there were major changes made to improve the service
Great selection of bear or wine friendly staff here.
Phone first to see if tables are available but other than that, the food was yummy and plentiful, the waitresses were fun and very smiley and the atmosphere was chilled, be prepared for a wait but worth it.
