Nice, old, deep underground stop
like
Lovely street in a busy part of London. Good access to Great Portland Street tube station, and Oxford Circus. Walking distance to Regent's Park, and some stately mansions. Numerous restaurants and shops nearby. Oxford Street is minutes away. Great place to live, work or have a drink in town.
Nice station close to some of the best hospitals in London
An original 1863 station built by the Metropolitan Railway line, a creation of Charles Pearson. Railway fans should stop by and contemplate it
2 platform underground station. Originally opened in 1863 as 'Portland Road', the station was one of the first underground railway stations in the world. The current building dates to 1930 and would appear to have changed little since, which makes it quite quaint, but not as user friendly as some of the more modern stations on the London Underground.
