If you are going to visit Trisha's chippy, you had better specify that you want your meet cooked, otherwise it will be RAW. Don't spend too much time on your order, because you wont get what you ask for anyway. Also, if you order online or on the phone, make sure you turn up on time so they can make you wait 15 minutes for your food to be cooked. Sarcasm aside, we ordered for collection at a certain time, had an email confirmation with the time on, and when we turned up they said they didn't know when we were collecting it so it wasn't ready. After a 15 minute wait, we were handed our food with a receipt from them WITH OUR COLLECTION TIME ON. Upon opening our food, the cheeseburger had no cheese and was so raw that a good vet could probably bring it back to life. The chips were cold, and the cheesy chips we ordered had no cheese on. Thoroughly disappointed and also feeling a little ill from biting into a raw burger. DO NOT GO TO TRISHA'S CHIPPY.

Very highly rated locally but unfortunately on the evening which we chose to get a takeout meal from here the place was obviously rushed and unable to cope with the amount of telephone orders which they seemed to be very preoccupied with rather than with our order which was placed over the counter. On getting it back to the site and plated up we found the fish was all but almost fried within an inch of its life which left it dry and tasteless the chips had not been even shown any salt and vinegar either even after being asked? We had also ordered a KIDS MEAL of Burger and Chips which looked fine on the outside but on my son taking a couple of bites from it he told me \it doesn't taste nice\ and, well you be the judge on the photos attached, but I think we all know what not cooked through looks like now don't we! All in all a real let down for Trisha's Chippy, very poor quality of food, service and care and attention. Plenty of other Fish and Chip Shops in the local area to choose from.

first of all, I never normally do fish and chips, I stumbled across this shop because my usual tale away of another cuisine was closed. so i thought having fish and chips on order would have been nice because not many chippy around do deliveries in fact there was only this one to choose from .. from the guy I spoke to on the phone to the delivery of my meal was more than I could ask for considering how cheap it is. the fish was exactly how I liked it with amazing chips, the kids were also happy with their meal. the only tiny let down was i asked for some scraps and didnt get any. the delivery driver was amazing he went out of his way to show the kids their specific kid meal boxes where he gave them a little activity book with some crayons which kept them quiet. I do think delivery could be a little quicker, but can only assume this is down to them being one of the only hippies doing deliveries. I for one would use again and will of course recommend, thanks ever so to Adam I think his name was. if not i can only apologize but he was an an asset to the business. I think he was driving a silver mini.

I'm wary that this vendor intentionally ripped us off. We ordered 3 x cod and 1 x skate (the cod being 4.50 and the skate 6.40). Right after paying we were told there was no skate so we agreed to a fourth order of cod instead (ie 1.90 less overall than the skate). Our order was completed and handed over with a conspicuous lack of mention of the refund. I stated that we had paid 6.40 for the 4.50 cod and were therefore owed a refund. The staff member readily agreed, put her hand in the till and quickly passed me 1.00 (ie still 0.90 short of what I was owed). The staff member then pointedly engaged the next customer and it was awkward so at that point I left, having overpaid for my meal. Perhaps this was an innocent mistake and as a 'one off' it's fine, but if you choose to go to this venue please be aware that this may be a method that they use to make extra money off of their customers. Something about it didn't seem right. The food was otherwise fine; it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted to season our chips at all before they were wrapped up as we had to go back to our guest house and eat very plain chips as we had no salt or vinegar and were not asked if we wanted any added. Because I don't know if the money situation was an accident or intentional, I am rating based on the food. Three stars as the fish was nicely battered and good portion size.

Very well mannered delivery driver, extremely professional, knocked on door and stepped away and waited till we answered the door. So extremely cautious about honouring to covid 19 current government guidelines. In terms of the food we were served, portions were generous, and cooked and still hot upon delivery. It was the first time we used this establishment and will continue to do so after being left fully satisfied with my food.
