I don’t often write reviews but in this case, I felt compelled. As both a mental health and medical provider, it can be very difficult to collaborate care with other community clinicians for a variety of reasons. However, this was not the case with GBCC. The staff was kind and helpful and even more boastful relates to their treatment providers! Their professionalism, responsiveness, and overall dedication to client care was refreshing. Several of the therapists (and one of the psychologists) with whom I’ve shared mutual clients, were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and knew their clients well. This made for even more effective collaboration since I could trust their clinical observations, judgment, and recommendations. When I come across individuals who need a referral or other specialized care that I do not directly provide, this has been my go-to referral location. I also have received great feedback from former clients who used to receive services from GBCC (eg had completed treatment or change of insurance, etc)! The treatment team is well-trained, diverse, and utilizes a wide range of evidence-based treatment modalities. All-in-all, I recommend this office as a professional AND for any for any clients looking for top tier care.

I am also an owner of a mental health care center, and I wanted to share my appreciation for being able to refer patients to GBCC. Over the years, when my clinic had a waiting list, we would refer to GBCC. Consistently we heard back from the patients that we referred that they got great care. GBCC makes a point of hiring great providers that are caring, and very knowledgeable in their respective areas of training. I am therapist and I know the difference betwem great care and mediocre care. I would not trust our referrals without checking them thoroughly first. I am pleased and confident that anyone we send to GBCC for mental health care is receiving great care.
I read that a lot of people have had issues with organization of the office, appointments and staff. I personally have never run into those problems. I really enjoy all of my providers. They all make me feel valued and listened to. I am quite sensitive to medications, so once I started going down the medication path my provider listened to my feedback and never pushed me one way or the other until we found one that worked. I really enjoy this office and appreciate their numerous locations. Staff is always welcoming, positive and friendly and the offices are always clean and well kept.
I used to work at Greater Baltimore Counseling Center, LLC and I continue to refer clients in need of care to GBCC. GBCC focuses on client care and provides a safe place for clients and therapists to create strong healthy therapeutic alliances. I recommend GBCC anyone to who is looking for counseling and has private insurance.
Waited for NINE sessions to go by before informing me that my insurance no longed covered my therapy—after they expressly told me that it would. Then they waited until I was out of therapy for months to hit me with the gigantic bill. Absolutely disgusting practice. Everyone involved should feel a burden of shame too great to carry. Disgraceful.
