I question whether this is a legitimate rescue Took weeks to reply to any emails I sent despite expressing a lot of interest, always replied saying they would get back me shortly, but never actually got one unless I emailed again promoting them and even then never got the information I’d originally asked for I was led on with an application despite the fact the dog had already been reserved and adopted by so keen else, I was advised these people were further along in the app Lucario process than me and the only reason I can think of for this is that these people were replied to faster than I was for some reason, I was advised this was because of the pandemic, but older reviews left here talk about the exact same issue happening months and years beforehand Asked if I would be interested in any of their other animals despite still not letting me know the outcome of my home check I don’t know of any other rescue that leads adopters on applying for the same animal, it should be first come first serve and subsequent inquiries should be advised of any applications for the same animal right from the start

Be very careful as you effectively have to pay 50.00 just to meet a dog and if the dog is not suitable you don't get the 50.00 back. We were just about to leave our house to meet a dog when his full details about him were updated just as we were leaving our house. When we went to meet the dog he had quite a few extra behavioural issues that were not mentioned that we discovered in the 15 minutes that we spent with him. We advised that he wasn't the right dog for us but we were not offered a refund of the 50.00. It was a lesson learnt for us and we have since given a new home to another rescue dog through Wags and Wet Noses who have been fantastic. We didn't have to pay anything upfront just to meet the dog with them and in fact didn't make any payment to them until we had brought the dog home. I wouldn't recommend paying the 50.00 to Greenleaf just to view a dog unless you are absolutely sure that you will be homing the dog when you meet it as you won't see that 50.00 again if you don't take the dog home with you.
Adopted a dog, passed the home check, dog was brought to me by another person who had her for a week, the dog is very grumpy and has bit me, I've had a dog trainer/behaviourist. Nothing worked to improve the dog. I contacted them but because she had bitten me they would not take her back. Shocking service.
I enquired about an adoption but no-one ever got back in touch with me
Seems like it's easier to buy a puppy than rehome any of these dogs based on people experiences.
