The trouble with a lot of charity shops is that they are very cluttered with little room for customers to move. I can forgive that. Normally. Most charity shops can't afford to hire a professional to optimise the layout and the staff do their best with the skills and materials on hand. However, this shop is very, very cramped and unnecessarily so. Much of the floor space is taken up by stands where new (and overpriced) goods are on display. Some people object to new goods in charity shops. I'm not one of them. I support any effort a charity makes to raise funds for their cause, but when large and unstable stands are placed right in the middle of the floor and customers have to sidle to get past them, it's not just a mistake. It's an accident waiting to happen. There are some great bargains to be found in this shop and I've managed to pick up some fantastic items, but when I'm in a charity shop I don't enjoy having to contort my body in order to look at items on the bottom shelf or move halfway across the shop so another customer can get to the till. Also, if you're going to have a glass cabinet at the till filled with jewellery for customers to buy, it's not helpful to then cover the top of the cabinet so it's impossible to see said jewellery without crouching. I know that hearts are the prime concern of the BHF, but please give some thought to those of us with bad backs. A poorly organised shop, worth a visit, but only if it's quiet. More than three or four customers in the store makes it feel very claustrophobic.
