Great museum with nice staff members. Tours are very interesting. View over Grenoble from the garden. Beautiful flowers too.

Great view of 1600 years of worship and burial on this site, with great archeological details. And it's all free!

Walked up the stairs to this place from the river on a cold, rainy day in Grenoble. We were wet and a bit cold and really welcomed this locally focused museum. It seemed to keep going and going with different rooms and floors. Lots of displays about history of the area, some WWII stuff, etc... . Definitely worth a leisurely stroll. Good bathrooms. Vending machine.

Pleasantly surprised how interesting this place was. Lots of history to do with the 1968 Winter Olympics and a fantastic view from the rooftop garden area.

This was free which was a great surprise and a detailed history of the dauphinois region. We did get lost and ended up in the offices while trying to find the outside, but plenty to see and try, it kept a six and eight year old entertained for over an hour, that is good for a museum.

There are not so many things to see but the view from there over the city is quite beautiful.

It's good to see the history and the things they have used for living.
