Fascinating with plenty of old everyday items and paintings of Grenoble in the 18th-19th centuries. As it's Europe, you do get your fair share of ancient earthen pots and spearheads.

Nice museum, with an audio guide in English. A bit boring in general but well kept exhibitions, the best part is the baptiserie. And the entrance is for free!

One temporary, rotating exhibit and two permanent ones with the old roman baptystery and prehistoric featured. Interesting and well presented although no english signage is present. The entry is free and you can enjoy the visit of the whole museum in two hours, more of less depending on your interest.
