Very strange opening times! Very difficult to ever find the place open recently! The food is always exceptionally good, but they seem to operate a schedule of 'we are just closing', 'we closed 5 minutes ago', or lights off and all closed up at 7pm . Today, i was informed that they currently close at 7pm & 8pm on different nights.., and with waitrose also closed (8pm on a Sunday night) i ended up eating an overpriced Burger King (which i try to avoid doing as much as possible). Their are plenty of customers here tonight who would potentially buy a Harry Ramsdens- if it stayed open until 10pm etc like other chip shops.

Most rude service staff. Being ignored with a teapot for hot water and then were told that she was busy yet enough time to take a new order from a customer behind me. Eventually she obligned to give me hot water but without stern telling off that I'm supposed to pay for another tea and not getting free refill of hot water. That's the first for me.

Ordered 4 sausage chips would not feed them to a dog they were served black and the tables were filthy and there was food all over the floor even with the restaurant being very quiet ie we being the only customers very disappointed as normally can't fault Harry Ramsdens

If I could leave no stars then I would - I took the food back to let serving staff know it was inedible, was 'I had to wait' to see some manager - erm NO - you served up scag ends and a pie that was cooked lord knows when and kept on a hotplate - couldn't eat it, disgust and contempt - Harry Ramsdens has gone downhill so fast, really sad. Most of the chips had eyes or stones, these are the ones we used to get cheap from a decent chippy and they are the 'scag ends' not the decent ones! Premium prices for rubbish!

Knife and cup was dirty, how disguisting.... there is no higienic.... im very sad with this...
