I recently had the experience of dealing with Mr Douglas Delaney for our house purchase. He was recommended to me and did not disappoint at all. With moving house being stressful enough anyway he was efficient, kept me up to date throughout the process and made the whole process easy for us. I would highly recommend Grigor and Young and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

If I could have given zero stars I would have. I instructed Katie Kennedy to represent me in my separation from my husband and informed Katie that I wanted to achieve a fair and swift financial settlement and that I needed value for money as my funds are very limited. 6 months later, and all that had been achieved was ONE (uncomplicated) letter to my husband asking him to engage in a Minute of Agreement and notarising my name change (on the poorest quality paper possible, it seems. After Katie failed to respond to 5 of my emails/texts/phone calls I dismissed her and asked for the balance of my account to be paid back to me - I had paid 1300 into my Grigor & Young account. The balance I received back was 2.03. One letter and my name change cost me 1297.97. I sent a letter of complaint to Grigor & Young and received confirmation of receipt and that my case had been passed on to Ann Cruickshank, Grigor & Young’s Client Relations Partner. It is now nearly 5 weeks since I sent my letter of compliant and I have heard nothing from Ann Cruickshank. I am waiting to see if Ann will respond to my latest communication today before I refer the matter to the Legal Ombudsman. The ‘service’ I received, value for money, responsiveness and professionalism of Grigor & Young have been appalling. I cannot stress how much I would NOT recommend Grigor & Young in general and Kate Kennedy specifically. Update: 30 Aug Ann Cruickshank, Client Relations Partner, contacted me shortly after I left this review; she accepted that I had been overcharged and we agreed an amount that was promptly refunded to me. However, my summation of the service I received from Grigor & Young remains unchanged.
G&Y helped us out immensely. We didn’t think that we were owed any compensation after our crash. However G&Y knew different. Peter was a consummate professional and helped us every step of the way. Always explaining each step in plain English and always had time to answer questions or provide an update. We will always recommend G&Y in any personal claim situation.
