Achter de Grote Markt in Groningen wordt druk gebouwd aan ons nieuwe onderkomen: het Groninger Forum, een spectaculair, voor iedereen toegankelijk gebouw van tien verdiepingen naar een ontwerp van NL Architects. Open in 2019 Het hoogste punt is bereikt, de afbouw is begonnen, eind 2018 wordt het opgeleverd en kunnen we gaan inrichten. In de zomer van 2019 opent het Groninger Forum de deuren voor het publiek. Het Groninger Forum wordt een laagdrempelige, wereldse ontmoetingsplek voor nieuwsgierige mensen. Met internationale exposities, het nieuwe museum voor strips, animatie en games Storyworld, vijf filmzalen, een multifunctionele zaal, de stadsbibliotheek en het Forumlab dagen we het publiek uit om met een open vizier naar de toekomst te kijken en zich te laten verrassen en inspireren door de wereld van nu. Bezoek ons Tot de opening opereren wij op twee hoofdlocaties en zes wijklocaties in Groningen. Film, debat en events vind je op onze locatie aan het Hereplein 73. Lenen, lezen, letteren en een ruime collectie fictie, non-fictie, kinderboeken, dvd's etc. is te vinden bij al onze bibliotheken in Groningen.

Het Groninger Forum is located in the old 'Camera-cinema' on Hereplein 73 where you can go to watch films, events, festivals, talkshows, and debates. A nice building with a comfortable atmosphere. For the film lovers I recommend the Cineville-pass, with this pass you can go to all films in Het Forum.

Beautiful cinema! Walking distance from Groningen central train station. Comfortable seats, spacious halls, art huis films program, plus bar & terrace at venue.

Have a beer in the cafe and watch a arthouse movie, this is the place to be for trendy people that like to relax and watch something that makes them think.

The fact that they play International films ONLY with Dutch subs is disappointing. I could not watch Cold War or Everybody Knows for this deficit. My point is Groningen, full of International students, is the biggest city in a large area, northern Netherlands, and yet we cannot enjoy watching some good films. It's a pity.

Lovely little arthouse theatre. But you might want to skip the coffee there, not special, you can get better coffees in the surroundings for cheaper.

Good screen play and audio! Drinks and tickets not too expensive. Selection of movies is different than normal cinema, art house movies.

My new favourite cinema in Groningen. There's barely any people, great movies, decent seats and affordable-ish pricing. They've got a student .discount as well! I think that ticks all the boxes? No 4D IMAX Dolby sound 8.0, bells an whistles tech. Just plain old good quality ambiance in a clean setting. Toilets, they've got them. Even a little café area for you to wait for your date while reading a book. One drawback is that whenever I go to watch a movie there, I always come out wanting to see another one.
