I love these people! The receptionist is just as important as the surgeon and his assisting nurse practitioner. I love the nurses in the prep room and the ones who worked with my son during his recovery. The whole team is wonderful, communicative, and made my 4-month-old son as comfortable as possible and literally cheerfully able to sleep that night. Dr. Cullen doesn't just have a great reputation, he's obsessively caring and most concerned about the littlest ones getting care at the time of day they are at their best, generally speaking. There's really no room for anything but direct communication here, and you and your child/ren will be treated as equals by everyone involved at each step of the way. Nobody is here to do anything but ensure your children's best future. I also appreciated the TV and the little monsters Disney cartoon as a distraction from all the seriousness and busy-ness, and hunger, my teeny boy was trying to handle before his surgery. Do not expect surgery to happen exactly when it's scheduled; you would want your own child's complications dealt with meticulously and with true care, so allow the team to handle any unforeseen circumstances with compassion and precision with every other child who needs it.
