Eric the Baker has hands-down, the BEST service. I ordered a croque monsieur and a blueberry danish and didn't realize that this was a cash-only store. By the time they tallied up my total, I was short by 2. When I mentioned that I was short, they said 'No worries, it's only 2!' and gave me both items As a small business during a pandemic, their small act of kindness is especially touching. (Thank you Lauren!!!) Not only was the service outstanding, the food was delicious. I only wish that I came earlier with more cash on hand, as I hear that they typically sell out of their popular items in the morning. I will definitely make the drive to Guelph again, solely to visit Eric the Baker

Eric the Baker is a palace of decadence and magic. Eric is a Level 20 Wizard from the School of Culinary and Deliciousness. I had his chocolate tart today for the first time (I know it's a crime to not have it until now). It is heaven and sin at the same time. Eric cast his legendary level spell making the most decadent gounach I've ever eaten. It's heavy but not very sweet so it went down like sin. It is so smooth and luxurious I can eat it forever. Don't get me started in the witchcraft that went into his sausage rolls. I have not found a sausage roll as good since I've had his. His sausage rolls have ruined me for all other sausage rolls. I am ecstatic Eric the Baker wasn't a victim of Covid. Long live the Great Culinary Mage Eric!

Where to start? I am a very impatient person and rarely line up for food, ever nor do I carry cash, i mean who carries cash anymore lol. When I first moved to Guelph back in July 2020, I was a bit skeptical when my partner said I should try to be patient and try their Danish. We arrived on a Saturday morning and there were around 10 people in line. It was moving very slow and honestly at 9 am I was already starving. We finally got in and the place smelled so good. We got two americanos and one cherry and one apple Danish and girl, I'm telling you, this has been one of the best Danish I've ever had. We have been going back every Saturday since, their sausage rolls are out of this world, their croque Monsieur, especially the spicy Calabrese, oh man. Definitely worth the wait outside at -10c and the trip to the atm to get cash!

Clearly a very skilled Baker. Quality of the baked goods is apparent. Every bite is an experience. Danishes, croissants, oh joy! Prices are reasonable. Wait time could be a bit long but worth every second. Take a picture of the schedule so you know when to show up for your favourite items. Been here twice so far and everything was delicious. Will definitely be back. If a 6th star was available this place would get it for sure. Update: ordered a cake for a birthday. Quite frankly the best mousse cake I've ever tasted. It was a hit. Such a hit that pics didn't happen until it was almost too late.

Love these guys. Always got my order ready and service is friendly and chill. They run a right ship and make the best pastries around by a long shot.
