Girl in The South

I went in for my very first mammogram. Loved the tech, she was very sweet. Wait time only about 10 minutes. 4 days later, I still haven't heard anything. I call and they say they sent the results to my primary yet I specifically told them to also send to my gyn. I call my primary, never got the fax. I call back to Gulf Imaging and request I pick up my report. I get there and they print it out. I tell them my doctor never got the fax. She says, eally? Because we need you to come back for an ultrasound.\ Are you kidding me!!??? What if I had never made the effort to find out the results? Would I ever even gotten the report!!?? NOT happy. We'll see what happens at my ultrasound tomorrow (eye roll)

The business requires you to pay up front, which is not a problem. However, their billing person is not always at work, and there is evidently not a back up when they are out. If my Mammogram would have been clear, then I would never have know the problems they have with billing. But something has shown up and they implored me that it could not wait, and that I required another Mamo and also an ultrasound. I paid up front for both procedures. The tech who completed my ultrasound had me turn away from her, causing her to reach around me to do the ultrasound. Which I feel caused a bad ultrasound. So now I am required to have yet another ultrasound and they are changing me full price, although I have met my deductible. My insurance has not received the claim showing I have paid my deductible. I am in need of another ultrasound but do not have money to continue paying full price for shotty ultrasounds/ procedures.

Strongly recommended (especially for those of us that may have \outgrown\ our wardrobe). Awesome Imaging Center. The staff works very hard to provide exceptional service. Very personable, professional and competent. They also try to anticipate and respond to client needs.

I made an appointment for my annual mammogram. In 30 years I have never needed an order for the exam. I drove 1.5 hours and they said I had to have an order no one told me when I made the appointment. Front desk staff not very understanding. Actually, a bit rude and rushed. Technicians are friendly which I why I gave a 2.. Front desk is the face of any institution to patients.
