Service department is not good. They are not trustworthy either can damage the bike parts on it's own to earn money to replace it.

i went there for tappet adjustment..as little different sound is coming from the tappet side and also the power developed by the engine was less. expert service personal took a ride on the bike and found out that there are so many issues with the bike he told valves and valves seats need to be replaced and clutch plates need to be replaced..total cost would be around.6500 Rs. I was shocked to hear that cost as my odo meter reading was only about 25000kms. He added not to ride anymore because it will further damage the engine. Then i smelled something fishy why they want to change the clutch plates. then i forced upon checking the tappet specially the exhaust side. but their service technician adjusted the suction side that too on hot engine and said exhaust side ok. I dont know y?? then i went to the local technician and told him to check tappet after proper cool down and what he found was tappet wrongly adjusted and exhaust side was so tight that the valve was not able to close properly....thats y sound was coming from the engine and power it was developing was less..... my personal conclusion " it was very bad experience with the technicians working for royal Enfield service team.. they even dont know that tappet should not be adjusted on the hot engine....this is basic mechanical engineering. i wonder about the competency of the entire service technicians...or they were just doing the monkey business to replace the spares to make money..
