The Batala, Co-Operative Sugar Mills Ltd., was inaugurated by Sh.Partap Singh Kairon, then Chief Minister of Punjab on 10.04.1961. The crushing season was started from 1963-64 and now completed its no of 54 crushing seasons successfully. It’s basic crushing capacity was 1000 tones daily, but in the year 1986-87 it was increased upto 1500 tones daily by spending an amount of Rs. 450 lacs.
