I love the atmosphere, the sights, the sounds, the smells, and just generally being in an amusement park. This year was extra special with the pandemic. Even though no rides ran the park sure weren't out of their way to try to make sure everyone was able to get a little bit of fun and still do so while maintaining safety.

I think Great America did extremely well during Covid. Even if the rides aren't going, it's still a great place just to get some fresh air and hang out with your friends. Hopefully the governor will approve for the rides to be open this coming summer, which I think has a strong possibility.

It was a really good trip for the kiddos, at about the same price as other much smaller activities in the city. You can meet Santa and also Mr. Scrooge!!!! Sip some Hot chocolate or apple cider, they have shows and also I never felt that I was in a crowded spot and it was a Saturday!!! , they only take ppl with reservations and they take seriously the CDC guidelines.

Overall, this is known to be one of the more popular six flags parks in the chain, most likely being right behind magic mountain and great adventure. For its size, it’s got a great variety of attractions. I personally have raging bull as my favorite ride here, with Goliath being a close second. I’ve never seen the latter with a wait of less than an hour, so be prepared. If you want to save money, I highly recommend bringing your own food in a cooler and eating out in your car. Expect to be somewhat sweaty throughout the day, as there is almost no shade on the blacktop. Wear good shoes that won’t fly off your feet when you’re upside down and feel comfortable enough to walk around in. One last thing, don’t expect to get on too many rides during Fright Fest unless you get the flash pass.

The in-character staff waved, danced, and made the experience even nicer! The kids LOVED it and so did we, the adults! The light shows were absolutely amazing and beautiful! The shots out to the various cultural winter holidays was by far, the nicest and most inclusive holiday celebration that we have seen in quite a while! The park was a place for everyone, from anywhere, and driving through the park, taking in all the scenery (due to the Covid-19 pandemic) was quite a fun and unique experience! Despite the cold and rain, the staff was having a great time! We hope Six Flags will make this an annual event, and create similar events soon!
