Beautiful hall. Bar set up was perfect. Buffet was nice. Roast beef came out cold but was corrected. Definitely enough space. Staff was great. Enjoyed myself.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the South Baldwin Social Club on 04/29/17. We planned our wedding from out of state and weren't able to see anything in person until the week of the wedding. The hall looks even better in person than it does in photos and videos. We liked being able to setup the hall Thursday night instead of Friday. Our only complaint is due to lack of communication during setup. Apparently someone said during setup that a few additional guests were coming. In actually we were short a few guests. We would have liked for someone from the hall to confirm with us (bride or groom) before taking money out of our security deposit to pay for these phantom guests. We chose Stratwood for the catering and we got a lot of compliments on their food and service. Would highly recommend them.

Our family recently held a wake at the GV Social Hall which is managed by the same people who own the Gianna Via's restaurant. They were wonderful to work with in planning the luncheon for more than 75 guests, especially given the short notice and situation, and really did all the work in making it a special day for our family and guests. The food was excellent and service staff were very professional, and numerous guests commented on how convenient and clean the banquet hall was. We would highly recommend the GV Social Hall and Gianna Via's for a wedding, reunion, funeral wake, etc., in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.
