This place is close to road 7º and easy to access. A well preserved ancient Silla royal mausoleum. The guardian sculptures at the entrance of this site has different face feature compare to Koreans', they are assumed as Sogdians(ancient Persia, now Iran). The name "Goae reung 괘릉(掛陵)" means "hanging mausoleum". A brief history of its name is the King's coffin was found hanging above the ground because the floor is wet at the moment of burial ceremony in 8th century. The reason why I score only 4 stars is there are some public transportation access around here(Bus no. 156, 600, 605 currently, in Feb. 2019) but the interval is quite long. Despite of that, here is an intriguing place. You can glimpse a trade connection between Korean peninsula and Persia in old ages.

신라 38대 원성왕릉. 괘릉이라고도 합니다. 비교적 능 주변이 잘 정비되어 있습니다 석사자상과 석인상도 꽤 온전한 모습을 보전하고 있습니다. 오래된 소나무 숲이 너무 예뻐요. 입장료도 무료. 공영주차장에 차를 대고 잠시 걸어보세요. 주변에 영지못과 함께 둘러보기 좋아요
신라 38대왕 원성왕릉인 괘릉은 비교적 넓은 터에 소나무로 둘러싸여 있고 봉분도 잘 관리되어 있다. 입구에 무신과 문신이 각각 한 쌍씩 좌우에 배열되고 있고 봉분 주변에는 십이지신이 새겨져 있으며 신라 봉분으로는 드물게 제사를 모시는 상이 있다.
한적하고 특색 있게 둘레석이 웅장함 도시락 먹기 좋고 화장실도 잘 되어 있음
사회교과서에 나오는 그 서역인을 볼 수 있어서 좋았다.
길가에 소나무 대나무숲을 이룬곳으로 찬찬히 둘러봐도 20-30분 안걸리는 장소입니다. 능을 지키는 서역인상과 동물모형의 상이 천년이상 된 것이라고 믿기지 않을정도로 보존이 되었네요
