Contemplated renting a home in the Durham area. After speaking with Mark for just a few minutes over the phone I decided to look at other places. It was just a very unpleasant experience for me. I am so gratified to see that others had similar encounters - I thought maybe I was judging him unfairly. I WAS NOT! Perhaps he doesn't realize how rude his phone manner is. I'm not surprised the location I considered is still available after several months. Honestly, I was so upset after dealing with him, we decided to remain in the home we are in now.

I was about to sign a lease and had a few basic questions for Mark Heiser about the property, such as whether the inside would be painted, the carpets cleaned, etc. He was unable to answer the simplest questions and was extremely rude, insulting me for even asking the questions in the first place. Ultimately we did not sign the lease due to Mark's unprofessional behavior and I encourage potential renters/buyers to take your business elsewhere.

I have been a tenant working with HCo for one year and had a very poor experience. Similar to other posts, I have also experienced extreme rudeness from Mark Heizer. We had a sewage issue they were slow to fix (four days of sewage in the tub). If you're renting, I would look for another company.
