Barry was wonderful. He took wonderful shots, so natural. He made everything so easy during our ceremony and afterwards. He was kind and helpful and his suggestions were wonderful. I would highly recommend his services for your photography needs when visiting Maui. I am planning on having a fam photo session next year when we visit with Barry again!

We had an incredible experience with Barry! He provided great instructions for our meeting site, as well as wonderful wardrobe suggestions and tips for weather. We had a large group of all ages, and the session went wonderfully. He was fun, thorough and open to our ideas. I would highly recommend him! Oh yeah, and we LOVED our photos!
Barry was very helpful from the minute I initially contacted him through our whole Maui wedding experience! He gave great recommendations from an officiant, to flowers, to wedding location! Very easy to work with and always returned calls quickly. The day of the wedding he was very professional and fun to work with! His easy going personality made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed! Barry is an absolute artist! We are thrilled with every photo he took. I had some trepidation about scheduling pictures with someone I’ve never met before but Barry put me at ease after our first phone call. The pictures we took are a treasure and one of the best highlights from our trip.
This was one of the highlights for our honeymoon. It always seems like a risk when you are trying to find a photographer in a place you have never been to before but we are SO glad we took that risk! Barry was phenomenal! He knows great shooting locations on this island and was beyond accommodating. The pictures turned out AMAZING. I am thrilled I found Barry!! This was all well worth it. We are currently trying to decide which photos we want from the whole bunch. You get to select a very good amount from the bunch. Still hard to narrow it down! We did not do engagement photos and doing honeymoon photos was hands down the better choice!
Barry was wonderful to work with. We had family photos taken to mark a very special family vacation to Maui. There were 15 of us total, including 6 children under 10, & Barry was able to get stunning photos of everyone (which is quite impressive!), both candid & staged. We selected Barry based on the many consistent positive reviews we found online & after working with him I can say it's no surprise! We emailed back & forth several weeks ahead of time to organize the photo session & Barry was consistently responsive (often responding within hours of emailing), thorough, & deftly anticipated our questions & needs. He has a calm, confident approach that put me at ease as a parent - he brought along an assistant, came with ideas for specific photographs for different family members & groups, he was open to our own ideas on the fly, was always watchful for photo bombers, & kept us on schedule to capture the best possible light for that all important Hawaiian sunset. The pictures turned out fantastic, we had a great experience with Barry & his assistant, & we are thankful for his help in documenting a family trip that we'll remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Barry!
Barry was great !!! I have a husband who was hesitant to spend money and time on photos and he enjoyed the entire experience so much !!! So did both of my girls, who can be quite difficult at times. He was great with responding, answering questions regarding everything, prompt and so much fun to work with. He made our entire family feel good and confident about themselves which showed up nicely in the photos. I love to see a person who loves what they are doing and extremely well at it also. If I ever get a chance to go back to Maui, will call Barry again. I highly recommend Barry Frankel Island Fresh Photography for anyone looking for a photographer in Maui.
Barry did an amazing job in our photo session! He made us feel very comfortable and captured our natural moments very well. I was so excited and happy to see our pictures in the photo gallery. I would love to get my picitures taken again with Barry when I visit Maui again the next time!
