5 star car service. Cost me half of what I would pay at Land Rover. Professional and knowledgable staff, good attitude, explained everything clearly. Same day service. Would choose Halfords again.

Very easy online booking service. Easy to find & access location. Clean and friendly. However, only booked car in for service but was told needed rear shocks (common garage con, according to online forums etc!) plus Cam Belt change due to vehicles age. I dropped car off before 0830, picked car up around 1630 and drove home (3-4miles), parked up an left it over night. 8am the next morning started engine to receive a warning regarding Engine Coolant level, and told to turn engine immediately off. Upon Googling problem and then checking coolant bottle, I found it was empty thus meaning I couldn't go anywhere till I bought a bottle & topped it up myself !! Re-visited AutoCentre after finishing work on the Monday to inform them of this , and check if it was meant to be checked on Service. Was told it was, but receptionist guy whom I spoke to said you sometimes get air bubbles in system after Cam Belt & water pump change, and said he usually tells people this but admitted he hadn't informed me upon collection. -- NOTE: I learnt afterwards the proper method to change cam belt & water pump is to fully bleed and replace the coolant, which would of prevented this ever happening !!! -- He gave me the money back for the bottle of AntiFreeze (fiver), but the fact my vehicle was useless the morning after I picked it up after paying them 900 for Service, Rear Shocks and Cam Belt (full kit) change wasn't apologised for nor was I offered anything for my inconvenience.
