I had the BEST experience at Applehead Studio! My friend and I went to get our grad photos done here and it was such a fun and positive experience. Liam is a fantastic photographer and completely captured the laughter and joy of the moment. The photos were so beautiful (we're obsessed with them)! Applehead was also extremely quick getting our photos to us to make our final selection. Their turnover rate after the final selection was made was also incredibly fast! Overall, an amazing business that has such a fun and welcoming atmosphere – I would recommend this studio to everyone!

When we decided to get married in a hot air balloon, our wedding planner gave us a choice of photographers, but I knew Applehead's reputation well enough that it wasn't even a question. Liam, Steph, Ash & Rich made our wedding so much more magical that I ever would have dreamed. We are not typically comfortable in front of a camera. Good news for us, that didn't seem to matter! We probably spent a total of 5 minutes \posing\ for photos - everything else was candid and perfectly captured the joy of the day. Our photos are a perfect mix of solo shots (we eloped) with enough pictures of the rest of the gang that we'll remember every detail of that day! Getting our photos back (quickly!) was like a trip down memory lane. They captured the tiniest details that we didn't even remember from the day. Our wedding video is so dreamy and the perfect way to show our families and friends who weren't in attendance what the day was really like. They're incredibly flexible. They had no problem being on call for a 3pm go/no-go decision, and then seemed happy to chase our balloon all over the Valley as we floated along! Plus, when you consider that they were our only wedding guests, we can't think of anyone more fun to spend an evening with! These people are the definition of badass.

He is always professional, easy to reach & very flexible when trying to fit us in. He makes even the most camera shy subject feel comfortable & look amazing. Liam and Steph are incredible! When we had to move our wedding date due to Covid restrictions we had no issues rescheduling. They are very passionate about their work and it truly shows with the moments they capture. Thank you guys for accommodating, can’t wait for the big day!!
Sadly I am writing this review with a heavy heart. My daughters wedding booked for this August has been cancelled. Last year 5 months before Covid every detail was in place and we were ready to celebrate a wonder day. Then Covid came. The wedding and all the details were rescheduled for a year, enough time we thought. In January the difficult decision was made to completely cancel. The majority of guests were to come from Ontario a task that is now impossible with strict travel and quarantine protocols here at home. My daughter lives in Ontario works as a nurse and wanted a Nova Scotia wedding. All the cancellations we had to make, and they were a lot,have been gracious, thoughtful and kind. Yes she lost her deposits for everything booked and that was completely expected and understandable. These were non refundable deposits. Applehead however has requested the non refundable deposit plus 50% of the agreed fee. It’s in their contract. No one could predict a global pandemic and the quarantine restrictions, cancelling was not on a whim. Cancellation was done with 8 months notice. Covid has been difficult for us all including small business, I get that. Applehead you may believe it is your “right” to demand the 50% as defined in your contract, but sometimes in life it is beholden to DO what is right . After all a wedding is an affair of the heart not the head.
