It's a rough building but the landlord's do the best they can. I was almost killed here. But they let an old guy stay there paying 460 a month when he should be paying 1300. There's nice things you see like that. He stays there needing to be in a home and he should be paying for a two bedroom not 460. Once they get a little more control over their tenants they will do just fine. There's just some people that have to go . There is security . They do provide bug treatment.

This apartment is Hell on earth. Expect no peace living in any of these units. If the Cockroaches, Mice and Bed bugs don't keep you up, the constant notices of Entry will. Giving less than 24 hours notice, Requesting to move everything 3 FT away from the walls. Notice of entrances include. caulking, Heat Treatment, Fire inspection, check windows, heat treatment, K9 inspections, Steam treatment, Caulking again, K9 and much more. Staff are nice but are completely useless. Months of contact with little feed response. They have no problems writing down your issues but they have no sense of organization and can't follow through! I kid you not I've probably seen over 1,000 Roaches since I've move in and 30 bed bugs. I've attached some photos
Worst management don't rent it they don't provide any parking if you rent it you will cry for parking and parking company give you very hard time . It is building responsibility to provide parking spot but they tell you to talk other company for monthly parking spot and parking company no response for your phone calls and emails and then building give you visitor permit and there only few visitor parking spot everyone parking and if you don't get it and you will park other parking spot they put lock on your vehicle . I talk to management and said park somewhere else don't park in building please don't rent it if you not prepare for problems
I lived at harbor view for 4 years i have nothing but good things to say about the office staff they helped me when i needed every time and the work in my unit every time i have a work orders i get it done in a timely manner the man that fixed everything that was broke he went above and beyond his job i think the superintendent lives here on site in one of the towers great guy i have had a few bug problems but was fixed up real fast i feel this is my home and the people are like family, i recommend here to everyone that is looking for a great place to live
The rental office staffs are very unprofessional and uses street languages to people who come to office. it takes at least 5 days to reply for an email and most of the time no replay at all, i ask one time to staff lucy why you people not replying to the email, she simply said “don't know” thats it they didt even bothered to enquire .Yesterday i went to office to solve roomate problem, the new staff Reily said “they can not solve the problem and she doest care”. Even they cannot solve the problem, they can be respectful. Rental office staffs treat people like they are live in harbourview apartment for free. I don't know how CARPREIT train their staff on people diversity discrimination and how staff keep their job. Its sad that these people treat people differently based on their skin colour , language and looks Thanks
Rental office staff never take any action against your work order. I am living here since 4 months. I have complained so many times regarding issue of door gap and requirement to fix door swipe. They have prepared my alterations and signed for about 4-5 times but till date door swipe not fixed. same way, I have also complained regarding paste control for about more than 1.5 months. Till date, I am receiving answers like that you are on waiting. I have been overcharged for first month of electricity bill and I have sent email to management office and after few days again I have sent reminder email but till date no any reply received from management office. I have never seen such irresponsible people. They are very fast in giving fine to somebody but not very fast in solving issues. There are so many good places in Halifax so if you are reading this and plan to come here then at least think twice.
You're going to view this place, you're going to think it's too good to be true, the price, the square footage, the proximity to downtown. Luckily, unlike me, you googled it. It is too good to be true, if you have the option of anywhere else I recommend it. In these walls you'll experience countless cockroaches - if you're lucky, countless other insects if you are not. If your experience is like how mine has been: Your floors will leak, your ceilings will leak, your fridge will break, your bathtub will fill when your neighbour drains theirs, you will hear domestic abuse at any hour of the day, you will be woken up by the biweekly fire alarm, you'll be harassed on your walk home from work and you'll be blacklisted from other apartments because they don't want someone who lived in this one. In the search for other apartments, I have been excited to see disgusting living situations and open food because I know they do not have problems with bugs. It is a privilege that I wasn't aware of until day two of living here. The office is usually quite friendly though. However, they office line is rarely picked up if you call. Edit: I have since put in my notice and the apartment now whenever they have someone they wish to view my apartment. The office does not give 24 hours notice, they give 5 minutes notice, if you don't answer your phone they take that as permission given.
mice , roaches infested . rental office do not take your complaints seriously . save your time and money rent elsewhere
