We loved this trail - and seemed to pick the perfect day to go! It was sunny but not too hot, and the breeze coming off the water was perfect. We didn't find the trails overly marshy as others stated, but we were there on a warm, dry day. On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being novice and 5 being expert) we would put this trail at a 2. There are some steep parts, but they can be avoided if you stay to the trail. Family friendly, for sure. There are also so many different trails on and off the main path - adventure out! It's worth the views. One thing to note - not everyone is kind and responsible with their pets which is extremely disappointing. Lots of dog poop on the trail which is completely unnecessary - pick up after your pets!

not really tourist place...almost hiking things...good eye-catching natural beauty at seashore...3 km far from peggys cove...you can see peggy from the height...good for couples or people who don't like crowd on weekend at peggys cove...peaceful it is by having coffee and mate on big stones of valley...windy atmosphere will blow your mind and body to the nature...trails are not paved correctly...may be 2 to 3 kms trails...good for mind refreshing... don't go special for that as nothing new there...good to visit if you are going toward Peggy cove....it is on your left if you are coming from halifax bay side.. west dover it is on your left side on the road...see attached photos for more ideas

The cutest hiking trail! It’s right beside Peggy’s Cove which is great because you get a nice view of the lighthouse without the crowd! You can keep walking for awhile, we didn’t really see an end so we eventually turned around!

Beautiful landscape with amazing views! Dog-friendly, on leash. All other dog owners were abiding by this, so no off-leash dogs tearing around. Only complaint is that there are so many desire paths it is hard to tell where the actual path is after a certain point. Also, there are no bins to put garbage or recycling, so people leave their cans and dog bags around. Would love to come back again overall.

Really nice trail for a hike. Easy on its first 300m then, there is no main trail at all. You will see lots of different trails through rocks or vegetation. Beautiful views in any way you go. There's a mysterious foundation by the end of main trail, really cool - just found out that this foundation was actually a radar station back on WWII (I've attached the post from a forum). Crossing a straight line from beginning of main trail to the shore, it'll be 500m but, there are so many side trails that it could take 1km or maybe just more then 500m to reach the shore.

Beautiful views of classic Nova Scotian terrain without the crowds of Peggy's Cove. Easy-medium difficulty hike over rolling granite boulders and glacial erratics. There is a small parking area at the entrance to the trail but most will park on the side of the road. Great for a day trip.

This is one of the most beautiful trails I have ever been on, it is stunning! Don't be afraid to keep exploring, there are paths everywhere! Bring good footwear and a camera. Enjoy!
