Nobody on the till! Three customers waiting, two staff chatting on the shop floor, nobody on the till. Left my purchases, will shop online instead.

It's a nice small whsmith. But it doesn't offer great verity

I've seen the guy behind the counter in the post office doing pointless tidying up tasks while there's massive lines of people waiting

Went to post office staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a one way system to help with social distancing

Went in to by a paper , took me a while to find them , then I went to the counter to pay the person behind the counter (who wasn't serving anyone else) directed me to the self service machine. For God's sake I'm 63 & a technophobe ! Why couldn't just take my money & give me the change ? The Lady did help me negotiate the self service machine but what's wrong with a bit of old fashioned service at the counter

The best place in the world to buy a pencil. They have the best pencils always in stock. If you should ever find yourself needing a pencil...honestly go to WHSmith. Puts IKEA and Argos pencils to shame.
