Gavin and her team took on my divorce and custody jurisdiction case at the last minute right before Christmas. BEWARE! Be careful with this firm if you are new to a family case . They will take full advantage of you and over bill for everything. I was referred to Gavin and was passed down to a very inexperienced attorney Jane Michalakes who was not prepared to handle a simple case but charged as if she was very experienced. We had our initial conference and she prepared as if she was going to trial . The judge shut her up multiple times and made her aware that this was only a temporary order hearing and everything she did to prepare was not even taken into consideration. After the hearing I got a bill for over 6,000.00 and another bill a week later for over 2,000.00 . My case has only been through initial conference And they are already at 15,500.00 . for what? I have already hired a new attorney and feeling better already . Please be careful . This has really impacted my life and hope this does not happen to anyone else .
