I’m so very impressed with the complete in-depth, attention to detail, design service that you get by working with Sam. He has inspired us to come up with an absolute transformational garden design which has far exceeded all expectations. The best part is all the help, advice and support he provides when choosing decking, tiles, gazebo, swim spa, options, making all that part so much quicker & easier Sam is also extremely flexible, adaptive and been super patient with us when we’ve been struggling to make the odd design decision. We honestly consider ourselves extremely lucky to have picked Sam to do our garden design and can’t wait for the finished result in readiness for summer 2021... totally excited and it’s been a brilliant service from beginning to end.

Sam and his team have been brilliant to work with. From initial call to discuss requirements, to walking through our garden and listening to our likes/dislikes and aspirations, to reviewing he planting design and seeing what was possible, to watching them turn it into a reality. Consilium Hortus have transformed our garden from old, boring and unmanageable to something much more easy on the eye. Every one that walks past our house stops and starred in awe now :) Sam really knows his craft which shows in his passion for his job. Professional and well planned. His team worked really hard (in horrible weather) to get the job done. Polite and friendly, clean, tidy too. Listening and understand to what we want, planning, designing and working with us to come up with the right solution has made our project. Thank goodness we found these guys! We’ve been really pleased with the quick response and enthusiasm from Sam and his team.
I had thinking been thinking hard about my garden for a while, but was nervous approaching a professional team. A number of different issues held me back, nervousness about costs partly, but I think that most important was not loosing control of the project. I wanted it to be my garden and to reflect my life, to be someone else’s plaything. Sam at Consilium fortunately was a revaluation, he asked questions in such a way as to allow me to better form and articulate my plans. The result was a design that pleased both me and my partner and came within budget! The next step was to recognise that a garden isn’t just about planting, and that the ‘hard landscaping’ needed to be planned and managed too. My partner and I work long hours, and we were pleased that Consilium were also able to control and manage the different trades involved in preparation of the patio, the garden room and outside kitchen. We were held back once or twice by bad weather, but overall the parts that could be controlled went very well. We now have a garden that we are proud of!
