Our Theatre is aiming to bring top entertainment to Halstead and the surrounding areas. We have a capacity of 274 seats over 1 level with 4 wheel chair accessible seats and a row of double seats at the back of the auditorium. We have a full calendar of live music, films, comedy nights, bingo, streaming, Stane Street Players drama group (https://www.facebook.com/StaneStreetPlayers/?ref=br_rs) and Frederick Douglas performing arts (https://www.facebook.com/frederickdouglasperformingarts/). The upcoming events at the Theatre always cover a wide variety and we aim to put something on that everyone can enjoy at a reasonable cost. Our Box Office is open daily between 3pm and 8pm for all ticket and show enquiries and all the information is also available on our website. Please note; there is not always staff at the Theatre but you can message us on our page for assistance and we will help as much as possible. The Theatre has a fully licensed bar so you can sit back and relax during the show with an alcoholic beverage, soft drink or a hot drink. The Theatre also has a small car park to the side and there is a large public car park a short walk away with ample space. It is a Trust Committee responsible for the running of the Theatre. Today it is a completely independently run Theatre for the area, run on a completely voluntary basis and something the town is proud of. Come and see for yourself. Halstead Empire Theatre team
