Hello Adam, We don't normally write reviews but as a couple of previously slightly anxious tree owners we felt compelled to share our experience of the service we received from you at Hampshire Tree Services. We had been reluctant to having our council preservation order trees pruned again after a bad experience with "tree surgeons" many years ago, but due to a little pressure from the neighbours, we knew we couldn't put it off any longer. We found three fairly local companies and arranged for them to come by and quote. Adam was the only one who kept to his original appointment and even arrived on time! His knowledge of trees was evident immediately and he did a good job of explaining how we could strike a balance between the results we were looking for without harming the trees or making them grow back in an undesirable way. We were sold straight away but were over the moon when his quote came in at less than the other two did. Needless to say we booked them in and Adam said that he would take care of all the paperwork required in order to get permission from Portsmouth City Council, which was a big relief! When the day came for the work to be done Adam and Jasper arrived, on time again, and set to work straight away. We had been nervous of various ornaments and plants that we have scattered around the garden but they took great care in moving what they could and covering over the rooted plants. They worked solidly all day in pretty grim weather and tidied up after themselves so diligently that in the end the garden actually looked better than it did before! The trees were pruned beautifully too and it was a joy to watch them taking such care over how they went about their work from our upstairs window. Both we and our neighbours are absolutely delighted with our now much lighter gardens and manicured trees. We are almost looking forward to the trees growing back so we can book them in again! A very comprehensive service. Adam is a knowledgeable individual and was able to provide advice on options on how my large Ash tree could be reduce and thinned. A tidy, clean and professional job. I have used this company several times and would recommend them.
