Beautiful place to take a walk, especially if you like bird spotting. Saw heron, kingfisher, blackcap and plenty of more common birds.
It's a really beautiful piece of nature very close to Hamburg and being there is like being on holidays for a few hours. It takes a bit longer but it's fun riding there by bike. Otherwise there's also a really good connection via subway.
Just an amazing place to walk and explore with dunes and forest together, this is a nature exception environment. it has a lot of pathways and little secret spots to explore .. Im looking forward to go in the summer to try the lake and have a swimming day and picnic too.
Very nice place, can be quite crowded when the weather is good though
