Great place to visit. Lots of stalls and options. Great atmosphere and generally a very welcoming experience. Nice wee stalls with plenty of options if you want some extra gifts. I recommend the apple punch and bratwursts. Superb.

For my opinion maybe the best Christmas Market in town. The only problem is that at weekends is quite overcrowded, but is really nice and every visitor enjoy it. It is really safe, just common sense for pickpockets etc. Unfortunately this year they don't have the flying Santa Claus, because of some construction work but next year it will return!!

The best part of Christmas is the Christmas market and Hamburg has one of the most beautiful ones. The Rathaus markt Christmas market is the best one and then there is the jungfernstieg, Hafen city, Gansemarkt ,Altona,Mönckebergstraße and Harburg. I might have missed a few market names but all of them offer really good street food like Kartopelpuffer, Schmalzkuchen,Maroni, Curry wurst , Crepes, Pommes with mayo and many more . You have the famous Glühwein, Feuerzangenbowle, Heiße Schokolade, Kinderpunch and many more. These markets light up the cold Hamburg winter and is definitely worth a visit.

I visited like every year Despite the cold I go there. I love the atmosphere and the smell of roasted marroni and other food. We did also a photo shoot today .. Christmas feeling I recommend trying the Thüringer sausage buy a wild pig salami, trying a currywurst hot wine a berliner... Oh boy..... Just try everything

I found the Hamburg Christmas market a little bit disappointing. It was lively and bustling but it seemed like half the stalls were just selling food. There weren’t nearly as many local craft stalls as I was expecting and only one that sold traditional German tree decorations. It was also so busy and crowded it was a little bit difficult to enjoy it.
