I'm someone who is always very, very anxious about getting my hair done. After a number of traumatic haircuts and bouncing around salons, I decided to try Small Talk Salon. Not only did Rhiannon make me feel completely at ease, but she knew just what to do to give me the most flattering haircut for my face and hair type! Not only did I leave the salon with gorgeous hair, upon washing at home (with some tweaks to my routine suggested by my stylist), my hair is equally beautiful and manageable! This is my favorite haircut I've gotten perhaps ever, and I will most certainly be back!

A big thank you to Rhiannan for fixing the impossible mess of hair I took in to her. I had the worst covid-cut ever and she was able to fix me up no problem. Small shop with a very talented, well-educated staff. Will definitely be coming back!
I would like to extend a huge thank you to Small Talk Salon in Hamden for going above and beyond for my mother in law this morning. The stylist Rhiannon came in early before opening to cut my mom’s hair so that she would be safe without anyone else having been in the salon as of yet, and she made sure to take the time to sanitize everything immediately after use! Great job Small Talk Salon! We will definitely be going back!
I have the pleasure of having my hair taken care of by Rhi over at Small Talk and she is always sweet, attentive, and takes the time to listen before presenting me options (whoa! what a new concept with a stylist for me!) The salon is neat and clean, all of the ladies who work there have a sense of community and make you feel right at home. They don't push conversation, or product!! on you but have a huge selection of styling tools available for purchase and a wealth of knowledge about them all. The hours are fabulous - you can make it late night which is awesome if you have a busy work schedule. I literally cannot say enough good things about this amazing salon - it is 100 percent worth a visit. THANK YOU Rhiannan, you are one of a kind - I always leave feeling confident and beautiful after our style, cut, and colors - which means the world to me.
