My son who is 27 yrs old w down syndrome was admitted back over Christmas of 2017 after a physical showed his blood sugar was over 40mmol.L. They diagnosed him w diabetes mellitus, celiac disease, pernicious anemia, all which he had since birth though fell through the cracks. Now, thanks to them he's on a proper gluten free diet along w his diabetes under control. Also, found out he had an under active thyroid condition common w down syndrome. It make a me so grateful they were so invested in his well being unlike physicians in the past. They also took the time to teach me how to manage all his needs. I'm forever grateful to them & all their staff! Props to every one who works each day even through this pandemic they are true earth angels.

My younger brother spent 5 months at this hospital. He was diagnosed with leukemia and did his chemo, radiation and bone marrow transplant here. The staff, the nurses, the doctors, specialists, janitors, everyone was so caring, supportive, accommodating, lenient and considerate. They made the toughest battle of my brothers life abd made it their own. I don't know these people but i built a great relationship with them. I loved showing them reciprocated love.

I am at a loss for words I can't even write a review at the moment. There is human cruelty going on at the highest level. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER HERE. GO TO ALL OTHER HAMILTON HOSPITAL'S AT ALL COST. What happened to us would go viral if we recorded what was said and done to our family member.

Spent 7 hours in the emergency department, the first 3 hours waiting with the other three people in there. The nurse on duty and the only one on duty Sept 17th was not the most compassionate in my opinion. I lived in Mississauga where Credit Valley is my choice but being in Hamilton now I wish I had of driven to Mississauga. I was given a IV drip that helped and was told to sit in a chair around the corner. That was great as none of the chairs were being wiped down as more patients came in, not a one you would think covid would make a difference. Shift change and the nurses got better not. I was told my morphine would be brought in 5 minutes 2 hours later and I was discharged ten minutes after getting the 2mg of morphine. I have only one other hospital to compare where I had my knee operation and all I can say I guess the economic and geographic make up of the community has a factor in care...

My mom spent a month there last fall. The hopsital itself is very nice and has good amenities (gift shop, cafeterias etc). A lot of the rooms are starting to get quite run down but almost all of the staff were amazing!
