we live an hour away but thought we could trust the workers here at this location after they bought their wedding bands here several years ago, keeping the business the same. Brought in my moms wedding ring to get a single diamond put in and was judged so hard as soon as I walked in. the rude sales lady said much more work needed to be done, and i said no she just wants the diamond replaced. She sent it out taking both our information. My mom got an email explaining the price of how much to fix the ring for the diamond AND the rest of stuff she did not want.. After i explained several times she just wanted the diamond. My dad (same last name and address) went to pick it up as he was in hamilton for the day and they wouldn't give it to him, it had to be my mom. YET I dropped it off? Same last name and address and you still don't give the ring? not good business for people who tried to stay loyal after so many years!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. Absolutely disgusting customer service all around . I purchased a custom ring for Mother’s Day. They messed up the Birth stone colours and after only a few months of wearing the ring one stone fell out and the other four were loose and on the verge of falling out. I called their customer service line several times. I was left on hold for over an hour each time without speaking with a single service representative. I am convinced they don’t actually have a customer service department, but a line with no one on the other end. “If we leave them on hold long enough they’ll hang up” My aunt (recipient of the ring) went in today to get the ring exchanged for the right ring. Not only would they not correct their terrible workmanship and mistake they were rude and unhelpful. I purchased the ring on a mothers day special, so in turn I asked that they make the same ring (the way it was supposed to be) and do a simple exchange. After all I only want what I originally paid for. They said “you’ll have to wait for the next sale” They wouldn’t remake the ring. All in all I will never purchase a single thing from this store again. Over priced and cheaply made. And probably the worst customer service in the industry.

I bought earrings online from People’s and they showed up and looked nothing like advertised on their website. They were so ugly and the sizing was all off! Do not buy online if you are not 100% sure you are keeping them because they also don’t refund your shipping costs even if you return it to the store in person. Just a rip off overall.

My wife and I visited this location on the 20/07/2020 around 5:30pm. To shop for a birthday. There was two female sales associate working, one of them an older lady in a blue dress was with a costume at the time. The second associate a middle aged brown skinned woman with a long dyed ponytail: don’t stand there 4 feet away and awkwardly staring at us without asking a single question or try to provide any additional information on price and inventory. This store is not a self service like the Mandarin, so you need to move and work. Your job is to sell, be at service anytime of the day , even if it’s 30min before closing time. When someone ask about certain product, you must find and provide any information you can, not “ that I do not know” Your frustration and agony was clearly visible. Very unprofessional disappointing experience. We ended up purchasing a chain and earrings at a different jewelry store on Upper James. I do not recommend this store to friends and family. We bought an engagement ring during the covid lock down. We received the ring and i tried it on and it was too small. So we emailed them and they said we could return it when they reopen. They have finally reopened and now they will exchange the ring.. for the regular price... when we bought the ring it was 25% off. Now that we want to return it there is no sale so we have to pay the full price. The manager couldn't care less about our problem. We returned the ring and will never go back to peoples again. Very disappointing

Not very friendly, was ignored because I cannot wear face mask. Was made to wear one! Then I got anxiety and hard to breathe because of mask. I put down off my nose she told me to push it up!
