Sookham is a plant-based restaurant offering something really different than the others in Hamilton. Their samosas are incredible, stuffed full of the most delicious filling. Looking forward to trying more of the menu! On Barton Street & John - only steps from James North.

First time I'm enjoying samosas that are not greasy! You get two very large samosas packed with fresh ingredients. The hot sauce has some nice heat and flavour to it. Everything tastes fresh and healthy. The owners are very proud of their restaurant and the details they put into each recipe. For example, the Chai tea has about 15 spices and made from oat milk. I came in around closing time. Usually this means you get the bottom of the barrel, stale food, and annoyed staff in most restaurants but it was the complete opposite here. Everything was made fresh to order and the staff were very enthusiastic to have us come in and explain the entire menu. I look forward to coming back here again and trying more dishes.
Such good food, I am so delighted, I think I may become a vegan. My better half and I just tried them for the first time and are so impressed with not only an explosion of flavour but also wonderful service. It is so nice to see the faces behind the counter that put their care & passion into their dishes, this is one of Hamilton's gems.
Our takeout was amazing! Everything was both healthy and delicious. Even the sides, like the naan and papadum, were great. The owners were also very welcoming. Will definitely be returning to try more items.

Amazing!! The masala chai was such a deep rich flavour, and their burger is the best tasting patty I've had in Hamilton. The owners are also incredibly sweet and the space is decorated so nicely! I will definitely be back again and again (need to try everything on the menu)
Excellent vegan food. It was so flavourful you didn't even feel like you were missing out! I also loved the Masala Chai tea. I felt like I could have been in India it was that good!
Avacado / Cardamum mylkshake was so delicious it barely made it home. The soup is amazing. The samosas and the other item were awesome. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
