I started using Hamm Septic in the early 1990s for my house in Amherst and an industrial building also in Amherst. After that I included two more industrial buildings in Litchfield and Hookset. In 2018 Carla Hamm said she called my book keeping service and could not get then to approve work although she had been getting my approval for 20 years, This year when I called they said they did not have time for me and when I had an emergency they blew me off and told me to research other companies. We always paid on time and were good customers. I have never written a review before but I felt it necessary and I see that other long time clients have had similar issues. It is really too bad when there is no loyalty.

Excellent!! My experience started with a phone call for services. The phone rep was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. My appointment was scheduled within a week. The technician called before coming, arrived promptly, was very pleasant, efficient and a delight to work with. I will look no further for a septic service company--Hamm is now my go to. Very highly recommended!!

Fast to take your money. First time I have a issue and call for a pumping during normal business hours they want to change a extra fee for emergency services. I guess 10 years of my business means nothing .

Was on the 'brink' of backing up - pretty sure. Called them, and the very nice woman told me it was their busiest season but took my number. Shortly after that, she called me back and had managed to move someone so that they could come pump my tank (I think the panic in my voice helped). I did have to dig the cover since it was such short notice - but they came, the tank was nearly full and all backed up, took care of it. Very professional. Thanks.

We used this company for years for pumping because they're the company the previous home owner used. But over labor day weekend our pumping station alarm went off for the first time since we bought the house in 2004. And Hamm's pricing was ridiculous. 300 for a holiday emergency fee, 195 an hour with a 2 hour minimum plus the 280 to pump the septic. So that's about 1000 BEFORE any other parts that may be needed and only for up to 2 hours. Then I was told that the pumping station should be inspected with each pumping. And that you had to request for it to be done. Well, if it needed to be done each time, it should be part of the cost of pumping and be automatic. The other companies I called ALL said that was not needed. It's just a way to get more from hard working people. So guess what? You're fired. The company I went with told me what was wrong for FREE and there was no per hour fee or emergency fee. I will say that the price for pumping was about the same though. If I could give negative stars I would.
