Had a great time! They followed restrictions well and in an easily comprehended way, and its a beautiful place with interesting history that really highlights the battles between Sweden and Denmark. If that doesn't interest you they also have a really nice gift shop with products that feel high-quality and have worked very well for me so far!

Well preserved, interesting castle built in the 1500. Informative and interesting tour from the period costumed guides definitely worth spending time with. English speaking tour at 14:30. Nice little cafe too

Not the most impressive castle/fortress aesthetically in Scandinavia but it was quite an impressive one in terms of defence capabilities. It is also one of the best preserved medieval castles in Sweden. During the war between Sweden and Denmark 1675-1679 the Swedish king Karl IX ordered that the castle should be destroyed, not to make it a stronghold for the Danish troups. The demolition failed, fortunately for us today. It has been depicted in the novel \Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige\ by Nobel laureate Selma Lagerlöf which probably is one of the reasons it is so well known in Sweden. If you are in the area, Söderlen (South-West Skåne) it is definitely worth a visit. And yes, you can have coffee there as well.

Very cool building, an interesting stronghold from the Danish times. We could not go in as it was closed, but it is quite impressive from outside as well.

It's a nice place with good information. Wasn't in the actual main building but it was still worth a stroll.

The Glimmingehus medieval castle is astoundingly well preserved and has a suitably spooky history. It's fascinating to walk the halls and climb the stairs that were used five hundred yards ago. And yes, you'll be climbing stairs. Lots of them and they are steep as well... Be sure to check their calendar as they have a plethora of exciting activities too, such as shooting bow and arrow, medieval games and so on.

There is only guided tours, because of corona. However the tours are only 70 kr for people over 18 and it's super worth it!
